1. call in sick
這個(gè)片語的意思就是“打電話請病假”——貌似病假通常都是打電話請的啊，當(dāng)然這里面肯定也有偷懶的成分了。我們來看個(gè)例子：Ben called in sick and told his boss he would miss the meeting. 本打電話請了病假，告訴他的老板他不能去開會了。
比較正式的請病假的用法應(yīng)該是sick leave / medical leave，比如：I need a sick leave for two days. 我需要請兩天病假。事假是personal leave。
2. drag one's ass
這個(gè)片語也寫作drag ass / drag it / drag tail，意思是“l(fā)eave, depart 離開”，比如：I'm dragging my ass out of this place. 我正要離開這兒。我們以前曾經(jīng)講過，通常要?jiǎng)e人挪動(dòng)一下，比較口語、俚語的說法常常都帶個(gè)ass，butt之類的，比如 move your butt (別擋路)，get your ass up (站起來)。
