The underwater mermaid show Green & White: The Serpents' Origin, held regularly at Grandview Aquarium in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, has become a sensation across the internet due to the dancers' exquisitely elegant performances.

The show is inspired by The Legend of the White Snake, a classic tale about the romance between a mortal man and a white snake spirit. This story has been adapted into novels, films, TV series, stage plays, and animated works.

At the aquatic performance, professional mermaids dressed as the white green snake spirits, glide elegantly through the water inside the aquarium's transparent tank. They swim gracefully through the azure water, with schools of fish drifting around them, immersing the audience in an Eastern romantic legend and offering a breathtaking visual spectacle.

Since its premiere in June, the show has staged nearly 200 performances to date, attracting about 100,000 visitors.
