A delegation consisting of over 30 journalists from more than 20 media outlets across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area began a three-day immersive tour in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on July 8.

The group visited Wuxi's advanced industrial sites, including the Humanoid Robot Industry Innovation Exhibition Center and Wuxi-Hong Kong Collaborative Innovation Center in the Wuxi Economic Development District (WEDD), followed by a tour of Deep Blue Aerospace, a local commercial aerospace company.

Wuxi has been deepening collaborative partnerships with GBA in many fields such as scientific innovation and talent cultivation in recent years.

The Wuxi-Hong Kong Collaborative Innovation Center jointly developed by WEDD and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology was launched in 2024 to accelerate the incubation of technological achievements.

Set up by Shenzhen-based UBTech Robotics and Wuxi Miracle Automation, the UQI Robot is promoting its construction of the UBTech Industrial Embodied AI Robotics Park in Wuxi.

"We have always paid close attention to the development of future industries. The development process of Wuxi's humanoid robots is highly appealing, and its achievements are even more remarkable. I hope that the Yangtze River Delta and the GBA will learn from each other and achieve win-win development," said Sun Li, a journalist from Southern Weekly, after visiting the two centers.

Jiao Xinrui, a journalist from Hong Kong Commercial Daily, expressed that the city's collaborations with Hong Kong across B2C, B2B, and upcoming industries have great potential. She expects deeper cooperation between Taihu Bay and the GBA.
