PM 2.5 affects fertility?

The smog in many Chinese cities does not seriously affect fertility, said Guo Yinglu of Peking University Hospital, in a rebuttal to a previous report saying the air pollution will cause long term fertility issues, such as deformed babies. The report was jointly released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and China Meteorological Administration. Guo, however, agreed with the report that PM 2.5, or air pollutants smaller than 2.5 micrometers, does worsen respiratory conditions. (www.chinanews.com)
