Datong holds Miss World contest to celebrate Chinese culture on Mid-Autumn Day
A Miss World contest with Chinese characteristics held its finals at Datong city, North China's Shanxi province on Sept 8.

The Chinese Poem Calligraphy Association planned the contest, in order to promote Chinese culture, and the contest was a huge success. The final round was held on the south side of the ancient city walls – a perfect match for the theme of the contest. Thousands of Datong people came to watch the show, while enjoying the beautiful full moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival. Twelve graceful beauties competed in the contest.
