這天同事 Leslie沒(méi)來(lái)上班, 另一個(gè)同事告訴我: “She is under the weather.” 我一時(shí)沒(méi)能聽(tīng)懂,同事又重復(fù)了一遍,外加, “She is not feeling well.”
待我晚上打電話(huà)給Leslie表示問(wèn)候,提到白天的疑惑時(shí),Leslie這才向我解釋說(shuō), She is under the weather 是說(shuō)她身體欠佳,可是和天氣無(wú)關(guān)。
