原來 brown nosing 是阿諛奉承的意思，尤其用于下級對上級，相當(dāng)于俗語中的"拍馬屁"、"馬屁精"之意。下次如果見到有人對上司拍馬屁，就可以說 "He's brown nosing"。當(dāng)然，這里是朋友間開玩笑的奉承話。
