Hong Kong director Tsui Hark(Xu Ke) says that the high-profile martial-arts film "Seven Swords" will have seven episodes .

A five-minute preview was released yesterday for the first time to movie fans throught Chinese portal website Sina.com, but no cast members were shown in the short film, which the director explained was to protect the film and its costumes from being copied.

The director also says that he shot "Seven Swords" primarily for the audience and that winning awards is secondary.

Seven Swords is now in post-production and it's still some way off completion, so the film missed this year's Cannes Film Festival, but the director says he still has his eye on this year's Venice Film Festival.
