Obese resident troubles rest-home

Feng Liudi, 67, has broken two beds and three wheelchairs since entering a
neighbourhood rest-home, Shanghai Morning Post reports. Her 150-kilogram frame
is proving a challenge for her carers.
Feng has a very good appetite and eats five meals a day. Though clinically
obese, she is otherwise healthy and mentally alert.
She said she gained weight after retiring from her job. When her legs could
no longer support her body, her children had to join together to lift her and
move her around.
They eventually sent her to the district's rest-home where she could receive
better care.
Gao Tianming, director of the rest-home, said that with China's improved
living standards, there will probably be more and more overweight senior
citizens eventually.
