Giant panda triplets Mengmeng, Shuaishuai and KuKu, born two years ago at a safari park in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, have been weaned and can now live independently.

The Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park held a grand ceremony on Friday to celebrate the second birthday for the giant panda triplets, each now weighing more than 60 kilograms.

According to the park, the triplets are now living on bamboo shoots, poles and leaves.

They will soon leave their mother, living separately as they are now independent, according to zoologists at the park.
