Seoul -- The South Korean government has refused to issue an entry visa to the Dalai Lama, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported Saturday.

This is the third time that the South Korean government has refused a visa for the Dalai Lama since 2000, who has long been engaging in secessionist activities.

"The words and deeds of the Dalai Lama in the past decades have shown that he is a political exile engaged in secessionist activities under the cloak of religion," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao told reporters Tuesday.

China constantly and resolutely opposes any country or any people to use the Dalai Lama issue as a lever to interfere in China's domestic affairs, he stressed.

Tibet is an inalienable part of the Chinese territory, and the Tibet issue is purely China's internal affairs, he said.
