At the heart of the 8th China International Import Expo, the Shanghai pavilion has opened its doors at the central square of the main venue, covering an area of about 300 square meters.

Divided into three sections: Brand Stories, Consumer Innovation, and Experiential Consumption, the pavilion brings together more than 50 brands and over 100 new products.

The first section spotlights the evolving stories of Shanghai's most representative brands, where heritage meets reinvention and tradition meets technology.

- Lao Feng Xiang, a century-old jewelry house, presents its gold crown that dazzled audiences at Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026.

- IM Motors, a rising name in China's new energy vehicle sector, showcases three car models and shares its journey of global expansion.

- XReal, a Shanghai-based pioneer in AR technology, presents its One Pro AR glasses. The company has ranked No 1 worldwide in consumer AR glasses sales for four consecutive years.

- Known as China's "beauty capital", Shanghai accounts for one-third of the nation's cosmetics retail sales. The pavilion highlights three popular domestic beauty brands: FancyCube, Into You, and Kans, which continue to captivate both local and international consumers.

Across from these displays, visitors will find exhibits celebrating collaboration between Chinese and international labels:

- Yuyuan Garden's lantern festival, which has illuminated countries from France to Thailand, tells Chinese cultural stories through creative global expressions.

- Italian notebook brand Moleskine presents special editions inspired by Shanghai's cityscape and the Shanghai International Film Festival.

- Iconic candy brand White Rabbit unveils a co-branded line of cookware with German kitchenware maker Fissler.

New tracks in consumer innovation

The consumer innovation section explores emerging lifestyle trends across four dimensions: pets, children, ACGN (anime, comics, games, and novels) culture, and elderly care.

- For pets: Shanghai-based innovators such as Catlink and Petkit showcase smart lifestyle solutions for cats, including AI-powered feeders and intelligent litter boxes. Their products now serve pet owners in more than 100 countries and regions.

- For children: Interactive AI companions such as Fuzozo's mood-changing dolls, MOMO's scented plush toys, and a series of educational robots offer intelligent companionship that combines fun with learning.

- For ACGN fans: Bilibili presents its new open-source animation model Index-AniSora, while Shanghai Animation Film Studio features merchandise from its hit movie Nobody. China Literature displays its globally popular online novels, including Joy of Life and The Legend of Shen Li.

- For older adults: RuShen RobotGym presents Qijia, a multifunctional elderly-care robot; traditional pharmacy Lei Yun Shang demonstrates AI-assisted health consultations; and UCalm presents a rhythm-based motion sofa designed to help seniors stand more comfortably.

New experiences in lifestyle consumption

The third section integrates culture, tourism, shopping, sports, exhibitions, and the night economy to highlight new ways of experiencing Shanghai's boundary-free consumption.

- The INS (Into Nothing Serious) complex celebrates the city's vibrant nightlife with live DJ performances and dancing robots.

- The Shanghai Museum presents a mini version of its popular Egyptian exhibition, On Top of the Pyramid: The Civilization of Ancient Egypt.

New ways to explore with AI

AI technology runs throughout the entire Shanghai pavilion experience. Upon entry, visitors can activate an AI-powered digital passport and select five favorite brands to collect digital "stamps" during their visit.

After collecting five stamps, the AI system generates a personalized report that profiles each visitor's style across five dimensions, from "urban pioneer" to "Haipai chic". Each report even includes a bespoke scent: floral notes for heritage lovers or mineral freshness for trend seekers.

Overseas visitors can also use the smart passport to access tax refund information.
