Xi says China achieves historic progress in women's development
Xi said that China had secured victory in the most extensive anti-poverty campaign in human history and led its 690 million women in marching together into a moderately prosperous society, achieving the poverty reduction goal outlined in the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development ahead of schedule.
Xi says women in China hold up 'half the sky' in economic, social development
In the new era, Chinese women are participating in the whole process of national and social governance with unprecedented confidence and vitality, Xi said.
"On the new journey of Chinese modernization, every woman is a protagonist," he said.
