The 2nd Golden Panda Awards, which recognize outstanding global contributions in film and TV, kicked off in Chengdu, Sichuan province, over the weekend. China Daily's online show Spotlight had an exclusive interview with the Awards' jury president, Chen Kaige.
The renowned director emphasized that the Golden Panda Awards offer a valuable platform for cultural exchange through film and television. Meanwhile, Mal Young, the chairman of the TV drama category juries, told the show that the awards go beyond voting for the best dramas and animation; they're about connecting and building a global community.
