Polish F-16 crashes during air show rehearsal, pilot killed

WARSAW -- A Polish F-16 fighter jet crashed on Thursday during rehearsals for the Radom international air show, killing the pilot, according to government spokesman.
The accident occurred in the afternoon, in which the fighter jet descended before striking the runway and exploded. Polish government spokesman Adam Szlapka confirmed via social media that the pilot did not survive. The cause of the accident remains unknown.
The AirSHOW Radom 2025 is scheduled for Aug. 30-31 in Radom, central Poland, hosting more than 150 aircraft from 20 countries. It is one of the largest events of its kind in Poland.
