CIFTIS to be held at Shougang Park from Sept 10-14

The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will be held from Sept 10 to 14 at Shougang Park in Beijing's western Shijingshan district.
The event, one of the world's largest fairs dedicated to trade in services, has previously been split between Shougang Park and the China National Convention Center. Organizers have announced that from 2025 onwards, Shougang Park will serve as its permanent venue.
The park, a former steel plant, was redeveloped for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, removing polluting industrial facilities and transforming the area into an exhibition and leisure hub.
"The CIFTIS single and permanent location of Shougang Park is expected to enhance the district's influence," said Shijingshan district head, Wan Long, noting that the district is committed to integrating its industrial heritage with modern exhibition and conference opportunities to create a unique "Exhibition Town" in Beijing.
Covering nearly 2 square kilometers, Shougang Park combines exhibition spaces with shopping, dining and accommodation.
Ahead of the fair, the district will launch 11 new retail and entertainment projects aimed at younger visitors, including a riverside shopping area with cafés, restaurants and immersive high-tech experiences.
"These initiatives are expected to be highlights of the upcoming trade event," Wan added.
During the conference, the district will enhance public transportation services. A total of 28 parking sites, offering 11,886 spaces, will be available to ensure sufficient parking.
These include 24 parking areas within and around the park, along with four temporary nearby emergency parking facilities to meet additional demand.
