LONDON -- A huge fire broke out Sunday on Arthur's Seat, a landmark in Edinburgh, Scotland, local authorities said.
"Crews are in attendance at a fire in the open," the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said on social media.
Video footage captured a helicopter hovering overhead as flames raced across the hillside. Reports said people were running to safety as the fire advanced.
There are no reports of casualties so far. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
This month, Edinburgh is hosting the 2025 Edinburgh International Festival and Edinburgh Festival Fringe, attracting crowds of tourists from across the world.
