Twin pandas celebrate fourth birthday in Chongqing

On Wednesday morning, a birthday celebration took place at Locajoy Theme Park in Yongchuan district, Southwest China's Chongqing, to mark the fourth birthday of the female twin giant pandas, Qing Hua and Qing Lu.
The panda pavilion was adorned with a sumptuous array of delicacies, including bamboo shoots, watermelons, apples, carrots, pumpkins, and bamboo leaves, presented on tables made of large ice blocks.
Visitors were enchanted as Qing Hua and Qing Lu made a glamorous entrance, donning birthday makeup complete with red "beauty marks" symbolizing health and good fortune on their foreheads.
The endearing sight of the twins enjoying their treats and engaging in playful antics captivated spectators, who eagerly captured these precious moments on their phones and cameras.
Born to the giant panda Pan Qing at the Wolong Shenshuping Base of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Sichuan province in August 2021, Qing Hua and Qing Lu were welcomed into the park at the end of 2023, along with their companions Qiao Yue and Ai Lian.
A photo exhibit documenting the growth journey of these giant pandas at the park also kicked off on Wednesday.
The park announced that a collective birthday party for all four giant pandas will be held at the panda pavilion on Saturday.
