The Shandong Week at the 2025 Osaka Expo kicked off in Japan on July 29, with over 20 sub-events showcasing the province's cutting-edge development.
The event also featured a "dialogue Shandong"·Shandong-Japan industrial cooperation exchange activity, aiming to promote cooperation in key industries such as medical care, environmental protection, high-end manufacturing, and agricultural food, which are of mutual interest to both Shandong and Japan.
According to Tomohiro Takashima from the Japan External Trade Organization, Shandong's annual "dialogue Shandong" activities are a reflection of its commitment to cooperation with Japan.
The event included a special "one city, one industry" promotion. Eight cities from Shandong, including Qingdao, Weifang, and Jining, showcased their industries with the greatest potential for cooperation with Japan. Eight major industrial clusters, such as smart home appliances and high-end equipment, were highlighted.
Additionally, the event also revealed 110 Shandong-based business cooperation projects, focusing on fields such as healthcare, energy saving, and environmental protection, through Japanese local governments and trade organizations. Over 200 companies from both sides will engage in one-on-one talks during the week-long event.
