Panda, a Chinese musical, was staged in Beijing's Comedy Theater with two shows on Friday and Saturday.

Telling a mysterious, fantastical, and romantically infused adventure story, which takes place in the Panda Tribe, this production blends the unique charm of Sichuan province and Chongqing dialects with a rich array of Sichuan cultural elements. Through an immersive experience that fully engages the senses, it showcases the captivating power of musical theater.

One of the highlights of the musical is the makeup and hairstyling, which draw inspiration from elements of traditional Chinese opera. The production incorporates local performance styles from Sichuan, presenting a rich tapestry of diverse elements from traditional Chinese culture.

Since its premiere in 2022, the musical has been performed over 1,100 times, attracting an audience of more than 300,000 people.

It gathers creative team members, including producer and artistic director Li Dun, director and scriptwriter Zhou Ke, composer Jang So-young from South Korea, and lyricist Liang Mang.
