The ninth China–South Asia Expo has kicked off in Kunming, Southwest China’s Yunnan province, and will run from June 19 to June 24.

This year’s expo features 16 exhibition halls showcasing a wide range of themes, including manufacturing, green energy, medical and sports healthcare, modern agriculture, and the coffee industry.

Taking place at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center, the expo has attracted representatives from 73 countries, regions, and international organizations, as well as more than 2,500 enterprises.

Wang Ning, Party secretary of Yunnan province, said that China and countries of South Asia and Southeast Asia are friendly neighbors, development partners, and a community with a shared future. The two sides have deepened practical cooperation across various fields in recent years, with steady growth in economic and trade exchanges that have brought mutually tangible benefits.

China stands ready to work with all partners to make full use of the China–South Asia Expo as a platform that fosters new drivers for collaboration, advances high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, and jointly builds a more prosperous and promising future.
