Beijing handles over 800 fallen trees due to strong winds

As of 3:00 pm on Saturday, the forestry and parks authorities of Beijing had deployed a total of 21,956 inspection and emergency response visits to deal with various situations caused by the continuing strong winds.
They have collectively dealt with 843 fallen trees and 2,572 instances of broken branches, according to China Central Television on Saturday afternoon.
Among the incidents they handled, trees and branches fell on 30 vehicles, on power lines in eight locations, on houses in six locations, and blocked roads in 16 locations.
At 3:49 pm, the Beijing Meteorological Bureau posted on its Weibo account that it is currently the period of strongest north winds, and the city is still under an orange alert for winds.
