Over 290,000 administrative reconsideration cases received in China in H1

BEIJING -- In the first half of 2024, administrative reconsideration organs across China received 292,000 administrative reconsideration cases, representing a 150 percent increase year on year, according to the Ministry of Justice.
Among these cases, 24,000 instances of unlawful or improper administrative actions were rectified, and 64,000 cases were concluded, according to the ministry.
After undergoing the reconsideration process, 202,000 disputes were resolved without the need for administrative proceedings, it added.
With the enactment of the newly revised Law on Administrative Reconsideration since Jan 1 this year, administrative reconsideration authorities at all levels have been handling administrative review cases efficiently and effectively.
