Soldier rescued in Fujian returns to Kinmen

FUZHOU -- A soldier from Kinmen rescued in Eastern Fujian province in March returned home after the mainland side completed investigation procedures towards him.
The soldier surnamed Hu is one of the two individuals from Kinmen rescued from a trapped fishing boat due to a failed engine in Weitou Bay of Quanzhou in Fujian on March 18.
The other individual surnamed Wu, who was confirmed to be an ordinary resident, returned to Kinmen on March 23. Hu remained held by the mainland side for further investigation over doubts about his identity.
Hu returned to Kinmen accompanied by his family members and a legislator from Kinmen.
Hu had been taken good care of by mainland authorities and his family members had visited him during his stay on the mainland.
