The China International Import Expo Enterprise Alliance held its first activity in the Year of the Dragon in Shanghai on Feb 29.

The event was attended by representatives from the CIIE Enterprise Alliance and its 15 special committees.

Wu Zhengping, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau and vice-president of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the CIIE venue, said that the CIIE Enterprise Alliance will continue implementing innovative methods to facilitate high-level government-enterprise dialogues and enhance services.

According to Wu, companies including nearly 200 Fortune Global 500 enterprises and industrial leaders have booked an exhibition area of over 240,000 square meters at the business exhibition of the seventh CIIE.

Lan Zhenzhen, chief corporate affairs and engagement officer of L'Oreal North Asia and China, the rotating chair of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance and chair of the daily chemical consumer goods special committee, said that the alliance serves as the strongest link connecting the CIIE with its participants from across the world.

In 2024, the CIIE Enterprise Alliance is set to introduce more partners, companies, ideas, and systems, aiming to make both the expo and the alliance more open, innovative, and green, Lan added.

At the event, representatives also expressed that they look forward to deepening industry collaboration and exchange through the platform provided by the CIIE Enterprise Alliance.
