Five renowned Chinese authors engaged in a compelling roundtable discussion at an event titled Writing China, held at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, United Kingdom, on Oct 23.

Authors Li Er, Xu Zechen, Qiao Ye, Zhou Xiaofeng, and Zhou Min presented their literary works, and shared experiences and insight?on literary subjects, including Chinese rural transformation, urban narratives, and children's literature.

There's a lot in Chinese literature that would resonate with English language readers, British sinologist Jack Hargreaves said at the event.
