Survey: 4 in 10 poor families skipping meals after cuts to program

According to Propel, a welfare software company, data released on Wednesday showed that among households that have participated in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), 42 percent said they skipped meals in August.?And 55 percent ate less due to financial constraints, marking a more than twofold increase compared with the same period last year.
