China oilfields has transformed country's oil production

Daqing Oilfield in China's northeastern Heilongjiang province has transformed from one of the country's largest oil production bases to a place producing both oil and natural gas, said a delegate to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
In the meantime, the oilfield, a subordinate of State-owned China National Petroleum Corp, has advanced from providing traditional energy to new energy, and building a presence from home market to global market, said Liu Li, head of an oil extraction unit at Daqing Oilfield, after the closing session of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, in Beijing, on Saturday.
At present, Daqing Oilfield is still maintaining strong vitality. It is confident it will achieve its goal of building a century-old oilfield, she told media at the delegates' passage at the Great Hall of the People.
"As a new generation of oil workers, we will boost oil and gas exploration and development, take concrete actions to ensure national energy security, and build China a modern socialist country," said Liu.
