Taiwan reports 139 new COVID-19 cases

TAIPEI -- Taiwan reported 139 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, comprising 15 locally transmitted infections and 124 imported cases, marking the highest daily number of cases originating overseas this year, said the island's disease monitoring agency.
The 15 local infections included 13 in a new cluster at a chemical plant in Kaohsiung, the agency said.
To date, Taiwan has reported 22,327 confirmed cases, of which 15,535 were local infections.
