Railway operators step up to assist passengers during floods

As torrential rains stopped many train services in Central China's Henan province, railway operators have made great efforts to ensure the railway's safe operation and provide sufficient supplies to passengers who have been stranded onboard, national railway operator China State Railway Group said on Wednesday.
Hit by heavy rains, trains passing by Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, have been affected, such as services along the Beijing-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and the Xuzhou-Lanzhou High-speed Railway.
Railway operators have carried out measures to ensure safety, such as stopping services and lowering operation speed.
Railway operators have provided food and water to passengers stranded on the trains.
