Hong Kong solicitor Kennedy Wong Ying-ho told China Daily on Wednesday that the National People's Congress Standing Committee's decision to allow the sixth-term Hong Kong Legislative Council to continue to serve for no less than a year is made out of respect for "one country, two systems" and "Hong Kong's high degree of autonomy".
