2019 Media Forum begins in Tianjin


The China Internet Media Forum 2019, kicked off in North China's Tianjin municipality on Monday.
The two-day internet media gala is themed, "Convergence and innovation: a new stride for China's Internet media."
Around 800 delegates from 258 media outlets took part in the event, offering insights on the sector's development trends and innovative and revolutionary collaborations on content, technology and international communications.

The event is aimed at boosting media convergence and building more exchange and cooperation platforms.
During the opening ceremony and the main forum, delegates including government officials and heads of leading media outlets delivered keynote speeches on the acceleration of media convergence and prospects for the integrated media sector in China.
They focused on new trends and methods in the emerging and influential short video and online broadcasting services.
The event also hosted four sub forums on technology, industrial growth, content building and international communications.
A ceremony was held to mark the beginning of an online media trip to cover the achievements of the strategy of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated development implemented since five years ago.

They will also visit the Tianjin Binhai-Zhongguancun Collaboration Innovation Model Area, the Media Convergence Center of the Binhai New Area, the Intelligent Binhai Operation and Management Center, Tianjin Intelligent Internet Automobile Industry Research Institute, and an ecological protection area.
